My stay at La Palm Hotel was a mixed bag. The location in the old quarter was fantastic, giving me easy access to many attractions. However, the noise from the street was quite bothersome, and the room, though spacious, had its downsides like a lack of hot water in the morning. Overall, it was decent for the price, but there are definitely areas for improvement.

Rooms

The room was quite spacious and clean, but it had a small window that faced the stairwell, making it a bit dark.
Service

The staff were friendly and offered some helpful advice about where to explore in Hanoi, though they weren't always the most proactive in addressing my concerns.
Location

Being in the heart of the old quarter, the hotel's location was excellent. I could easily stroll to nearby shops and restaurants.
Dining

I found the breakfast to be just okay. it was a standard buffet with some homemade dishes, but options were limited.
Facilities

The hotel offered several facilities like laundry and shuttle services, but overall, they felt basic.

I had a mixed experience at La Palm Hotel. The hotel is situated in a great location within the Old Quarter, making it easy to explore local attractions. However, while the staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms showed signs of wear and could use some updates. Overall, it was decent for a short stay, but some aspects left me wanting more.

Rooms
6.0
My room was clean but felt dated, and the window looked into a narrow light shaft rather than outside, which made it feel a bit cramped. I did notice the sheets and towels showing some wear. Overall, it's large enough, but I expected better given the hotel's claims.
Service
7.0
The staff was generally friendly and spoke excellent English, which helped during my stay. They organized a trip to Halong Bay for me, which was wonderful, but sometimes it felt like they were not as engaged in resolving issues as they could have been.
Location
8.0
The location was definitely a highlight. I loved being just a short walk from the bustling streets, restaurants, and Hoan Kiem Lake. It's perfect for anyone wanting to be in the center of the action, but keep in mind that it might not be the best value for longer stays.
Dining

Breakfast was decent with a mix of traditional and continental options. While it wasn’t the best I’ve had, there were enough choices to satisfy my morning cravings.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities included car hire and dry cleaning services, which were convenient. However, some areas felt a bit neglected compared to others, indicating a need for maintenance.

My stay at La Palm Hotel was comfortable, with friendly staff and a great location in the Old Quarter, but I did encounter some noise issues and room cleanliness concerns. Overall, it’s good for a budget option after a day of exploring, but it’s not without its quirks.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms are spacious and mostly clean, although mine had some aged decor and a less-than-stellar view. I expected a window, but it faced a small courtyard filled with cigarette ends.
Service
5.0
The staff were generally friendly, but they lacked initiative to assist with local attractions or issues I faced during my stay. They were nice but not particularly helpful when I needed support with the air conditioning.
Location

The hotel is excellently located in the heart of the Old Quarter, just a short walk from restaurants and shops, although it can be quite noisy at night.
Dining

Breakfast was decent with good selections, but it could use a few more options to spice things up.
Facilities

The hotel offers essential services like dry cleaning and airport shuttles, but I didn't get to utilize them much during my stay.

I had a decent stay at La Palm Hotel. The location in Hanoi's Old Quarter was excellent, putting me close to many attractions. though I encountered some cleanliness issues in my room. The breakfast options were sufficient, but I would have appreciated more variety, particularly with juice choices.

Rooms
6.0
My room was nice but could use some deep cleaning. there were marks on the skirting boards and behind the door. The small window was a blessing as it shielded me from the street noise, but the thin walls meant I could hear my neighbors.
Service

The staff here were very friendly and helpful. especially the gentleman who greeted me during check-in. However, at times, they seemed a bit disengaged when I inquired about local attractions.
